About Three Generations

2460 Mullinix Mill Rd, Mt Airy, MD 21771

Gayle and ChakotayThree Generations Farm is a family-owned and operated facility located in Mt Airy, Maryland. The farm is primarily run by Gayle Conard, a long-time horsewoman, and has been offering exceptional care at several locations since 1990. At our current locations we truly embody “Three Generations” as the farm is adjacent to and runs in concert with Patuxent Ridge Farm owned by Audra Conard. It is truly a family affair!

Gayle has been around horses since she was a girl, and has been an area professional – as both an instructor and a barn manager – for most of her adult life. She has guided riders to top placings at both the local and regional level, and has helped to develop several riders that have gone on to become professionals themselves. She continues to run a small lesson program suited to all levels of riders with emphasis on  proper seat, communication , horsemanship and above all, safety.

George Conard, is another regular face around the farm. Husband, father, occasional horse show-groom, tractor driver, and general farm fixer…he is essential to the Three Generations Farm day!

Their attention is geared to offering you the best care possible for your horse. At Three Generations Farm, your horse is cared for as if it is one of Gayle’s own. Semi-private turnout, only the best in feed and hay, and personalized care give you the peace of mind you need, knowing your horse is in the best care possible.

About our logo –

From: The original drawing by Blair.    To: Our new logo!

The concept for our logo came from a line drawing penned by one of our daughters, Blair Snively, on the farm bulletin board. The featured horses are Beau – a Quarter Horse gelding that was sadly lost to a severe colic (you will notice his halo in the original drawing), Chakotay – a leopard Appaloosa gelding that was foaled on the farm and Gayle’s pride and joy, and Blaze (aka “The Gift”) owned by Blair  – who was foaled at neighboring Southwind Farm and given to her as a two year old.
